Rabbi Grossman arrives to the FarbrengenA few moments before the weekly seder of Machsheves Yisroel given by our Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Berger arrived, word went around that the Yeshiva was invited to be part of a fundraising evening and Farbrengen for the Moisdois of Migdal Ohr, headed by Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Grossman who lives in Migdal Ha'emek, who was hosted by Mr. And Mrs. Josef Strauss, big Supporter of Chabad Lubavitch in Ottawa and the Yeshiva, and the Bochurim will be able to be part of it.
Around 8:00pm the Vans were packing up in front of the Yeshiva and arrived at their home. The Bochurim got there when the movie on his organization was being played, and seconds later the Chevrah found their seats and enjoyed the rest of the movie. As soon as the movie was over the Rabbi said a few words to the guests, and then most of them left leaving the Bochurim behind and a few of the remaining people. Then the guys were seated and waited a few moments till the rabbi came back from his brief break.
The Rabbi arrived and thanked all the Bochurim for coming, then the Rosh Yeshiva asked if the Rabbi can say a few words to the Bochurim of the Yeshiva, and he agreed. The Rabbi spoke on the concept of Hashgocho Protis and said "I had a long day today and I was planning as soon as the movie was over I wanted to go to sleep, but then you boys came in, now I see the Hashgocho Protis that Hashem wants us to Farbreng together".
He first began a Niggun of Perazois Tesheiv" which lasted for a few minutes and with lots of Lebedigkeit. Then he explained why every Jew has a Yezter Hora and a Yetzer Tov, and purpose of them both is to test us if were going to do the right thing and do good when the Yezter Hora attacks us with his bad ideas.
He said about one of this trips to Florida to raise funds for his Moisad, he had an appointment for 9:00pm at a guys house, he got there and he knocked on the door and there was no response. He was thinking "I made an appointment and now he is not here", so he knocked again and the doors opened. He walks in the house but no one is there to greet him, he walks deeper into the house and he can't find anyone to welcome him.
He walks closer inside and he found the guy sitting there watching a Boxting match, seconds later the Rabbi gets his attention, the ashamed guy says "Oh, I'm so sorry I didn't realize you were there I was so busy watching this, oh I feel so bad". The Rabbi calmed him down and told him, you know, there must be a message from this and I want to share it with you.
And tells him "You know this game reminds me of the war our evil side and the good side our soul has between each other, the reason why you need both is to see who can win, could you imagine if one guy got up and started punching out himself, he will need a doctor, this game needs two players to teach us, that life is like this game, there is the good and of course bad, and we have to win no matter when and how".
The Rabbi (Right) and the Host, Mr. Yosef Strauss The Rabbi also told the Bochurim how important it is to use out every moment you have for the sake of Torah and Mitzvos, "you will see when you get older, time flies!" you have to use it out now before its to late. After that, the Rabbi started a song and rised from his seat and began dancing around the table, the Niggun was "Eimossai Kossi Marr" that lasted for a few moments, then all sat down to make a Bracha Achroinna and all thanked the host for the evening, and the Bochurim then said fare well to Rabbi Gruzman, then the Bochurim were taken to Yeshiva for Mariv and Video of the Rebbe. There is a Farbrengen tonight in Yeshiva in honor of "Tes and Yud Kislev".
