The Shabbos Seder was called for 5:25pm by the Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Berger took take place in the Young Israel, in addition he said that every Bochur should make sure to be there on time due to the shortage of Bochurim this week as some of the Bochurim are out of town.
Despite the very cold conditions out side with some nasty cold winds, all of the Bochurim were there way on time to begin the evening Seder. Mincha was prayed quickly in order to get things on a roll. Before Kabolas Shabbos began our dear Menahel Rabbi Smith led the Olam to sing a few Niggunim such as "Yedid Nefesh" and "Shabbos. Heilger Shabbos". The Chazen that honored us for the Service was Hatomim Levi Feigenson who brought some Southern style to the evening. The tune for Lecho Doiddi was of course "Vayehi Bymmei Achashveirosh" which all enjoyed. After Kaddish before Kgavna Rabbi Berger came in to say a few words. He spoke on topic of why the Aron in the Mishkan was inserted into one Box then that into another? and the Midrash explains that it has to be "Toicho Ke'Barro" the outside has to look like and symbolize the inside, you have certain people that make sure they give off a show of who they are in order to show off, one thing people dont see is the inside of person. The teachings of Chassidus tells us we have to be a "Penimmi" and not a "Chitzoin". And thats one of the messages that this Parsha teaches us for our day to day life. After the Dvar Torah the Tefilah was continued and concluded. After it was over Rabbi Smith said for those who will be there the whole time tomorrow morning without any disturbances will get two slices of Pizza, the place sounded happy about this.
After the service was over the Niggun of "Vayehi" rocked the house again and then all headed to eat by their assigned places to have the meal last night. Thank you very much to the Berger, Krevsky, Rodin and Wolf families. The Bochurim all returned from their hosts and just relaxed in the Dorm. either to learn, play a game, or just one of those friendly bull shoving session's. The Olam was pretty much in their rooms fairly early this week.
The place was packed in the morning, due to a minor rage the Shluchim did to get everyone out of Bed before 10:15am, it worked! The service began pretty early then usual and all sounded very happy about this. The Cantor for Shachris was Hatomim Yossi Emunah, who took a long break from Davening for the Ommud. Kriah began fairly early as well. The Kriah was lead by Yitzel Bluming as always, a smooth and quicky! Then the Mussaf service began, our Chazen once again Hatomim Levi Feigenson, Levi your hired!
After the service was over the Chevrah went into the Social Hall for the Grand Shabbos Seudah, joined by Rabbi and Rebbetzin Berger, and part of the time with Rabbi Smith. A Niggun or two were part of the evening as well, with a story from the Rosh Yeshiva. Bentching was done right away and the Olam went in for the prayer of Mincha.
The Chazzen was once again Hatomim Yossi Emunah. After Mincha the Shluchim and staff had a little Farbrengen in honor of Moshe Maness Birthday today. Moshe said part of a Mamor, called "Al Kein Korro" said in 1953 and followed with a Niggun. They also spoke about some of the Peulois being planned for Purim in Yeshiva as well as what it means to go on Shlichus today once married compared to what it was twenty years ago. The Farbrengen went till around 3:15pm.
Mariv this evening was called for 6:35pm which started on time as well followed with Havdalah. Once that was over a brief Seder Niglah took place and concluded about 7:20pm. After Seder the Bochurim went into the "Zal" to hear a story from Rabbi Berger about renowned Chossid Reb Pinchus Reizes and the Alter Rebbe in the times when the Misnagdim did their terrible things against the ways and teachings of Chassidus. After that Rabbi Berger called out the names of seven Bochurim who will be enjoying two slices of Pizza this evening. The Seder was over at about 7:35pm and then all headed to their desired places to keep them selves busy till Lights out tonight.
