According to a story on the website of the Georgia Lottery, a 24-year-old man won $250,000 this week thanks to a Mega Millions ticket he picked out of the trash.
The man cashed in the ticket he pulled from the garbage for three more tickets, one of which was a $250,000 winner, according to the Georgia Lottery website.
“I would have never bought that ticket if I hadn’t pulled the other ticket out of the trash,” Andrew Hunter told the Georgia Lottery. “I don’t think it’s really hit me yet.
